The event is an informal face-to-face seminar featuring case studies centered on creation of accessible documents for public access and consumption.

Scanning paper into electronic archives and providing documents electronically are well established practices. This seminar will consider what agencies are doing today to ensure that those documents are accessible to citizens and employees with disabilities.

One particular area of interest for seminar attendees: How can image-only PDFs be converted into tagged PDFs, and are there other file formats which should be considered besides PDF?

An expert in both PDF accessibility and scan to PDF conversion, Duff Johnson will address these subjects in detail while the FDA's Morgan Warner describes the use of NetCentric's CommonLook products at the HHS.
