Ferass Elrayes, CTO

With over a decade of focus on PDF accessibility, Ferass ElRayes leads software development for NetCentric Technologies.

Ferass represents Canada at ISO TC 171 meetings on the ISO 14289 (PDF/UA), ISO 32000 (PDF) and ISO 19005 (PDF/A) Committees and is the Vice Chair of the Canadian Advisory Committee (CAC) on TC 171 SC2.

Ferass has spent 15 years as a software architect, line developer and project leader. First outside Adobe Systems to develop PDF accessibility technology, Ferass is the architect of NetCentric's products including CommonLook Office, CommonLook PDF and CommonLook Clarity.

Since 2004 Ferass has provided trainings and workshops to many organizations in the government and private sector throughout the United States and Canada.

Ferass holds a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Carleton University specializing in the performance analysis of distributed systems.
